Has anyone ever seen a movie called Choir Voices shown at the theater in the 1960's?

I believe it starred Albert Finney. It was about how a young man was given to the church for his voice, and eventually they were castrated to keep the high voice...but some how he managed to escape this somehow. The movie is all about his escapades. I can't seem to find it in any of the movie titles. Maybe I have gotten the title to the movie wrong. But I remember seeing it at the Civic Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1964 or 65.
