Which one is better?watching a movie at the theater or at home?

i pick the theaters b cause they have comfortable seats and they have good food and also b cuse the screen is HUGE

Which one is better?watching a movie at the theater or at home?opera score

your right i would say the same plus its relaxing

Which one is better?watching a movie at the theater or at home?musicals opera theater

home

i have more comfofortable seats..better food..and a big screen(not as big) plus i can talk, drink, smoke, and pause for bathroom breaks
home
at home the bathroom is closer and cleaner
Home, you can get up and use the bathroom or grab some snacks without missing any of the movie!!
At home
home, it's MUCH cheaper :)
There is no substitute for the traditional experience of going to the theater.
at home - noone's head in your way, noone talking during the movie, if you gotta get up and get something to drink, you can pause it and not miss anything, it's way cheaper to watch at home
It depends on the movie. If it's a movie that has a lot of special effects etc. then it's worth going to the movies. But my vote is for my comfy couch and be able to pause when I need to. Love it love it love it.
Home. It's cheaper, the food is better, and I can pause the movie as I go to the bathroom.
theater, but home if you have a really good tv and suround system
Theater since the screen is so large and the sound is so intense.
well...we have good food in my home...good seats...%26amp; huge screen so my answer is home of course!i like watching movies alone
Not. The theater, yes. But the chairs rot and you haven't been in a real one. 35mm format isn't ever brought out to full potentially even at the lab. When you do see a really good print in a really good huge theater, you get the full impact. Specially if the print is either 35mm Anamorphic or 70mm. But then, how many really good movies are there out that with those aspects? Let alone a movie theater to show them like they were intended to be seen.
They both have their advantages. At the movies, the screen is very big and that adds to the movie. But at home you can just wear your pajamas and make popcorn yourself that doesn't cost $5.00 and turn the movie off when you have to go to the bathroom. Still, I like going to the movies more.
i actually like home (as long as the screen is fairly big) because you have more flexibility, the sofas are so much more comfortable (but i guess that depends on what couches you own) and you can cuddle up to the ppl that you're watching it with.

but im not saying that the theatres arent good, cause i still love watching movies there too!
The theater because there is an unsaid rule about being quiet once the movie starts plus everything you said.
poor girl, that sucks...the theater has more comfortable seating than your own home :-(
I also like the theaters more. The screen is enormous and the sound is as loud as you want it to be, and the neighbors don't complain. Plus it's just fun to go out and do something, instead of just sitting at home.
Home... you can make it just as comfortable as the theaters. You are at your house you can do whatever you want. Pause. Forward. Stop. Rewind. Subtitles. Get up. Stretch. Use the bathroom quickly. Whatever anything. And you could even eat fast food at home while watchin a film unlike snackin in theaters for lots of money.
I think this question falls under personal preference and you have to take in all factors and pros and cons for each venue. At home watching a movie is cheaper and you can just lounge in pajamas. Also you dont have to listen to annoying kids that talk or babies that cry during the movie. Also if you need to use the restroom or the phone rings you are able to pause the movie. Or if you are tired its ok to fall asleep cause you rented it, you cant watch it again.

Theatre: some movies are just that much more thrilling in the theatre than at home. Like action films or movies with great special effects and such. I love movie candy and popcorn, also the who experience of watching the movie on the big screen is always a great outing.

I think either way you will enjoy the movie.

I dont prefer one over the other.
Well, it depends on the movie. Action movies are best on the big screen, but sad movies are best at home.

Also, if you stay at home you can wear whatever you want.
I pick at home where I can lay in my mans arms, it is hard to do that at the theature. The food is to high at the theatures too, the seats hurt my back and there is always someone there that will not shut up so that you can hear.
Sometimes it's better to have a big audience watch with you. That's the whole movie experience you know? At home, though, you can watch at your on leisure.
I like home, is cheaper and more confortable, I don't have to deal with tight schedules, high price of ticket and food, and stupid people. Some movies deserve the theater experience but most of the crap they do today don't.
You know even though you have to spend money to see the movie in the theatre, it's worth it sometimes because sometimes they don't make them on DVD, I've had it happen. But yeah I definitely like seeing it in the theatre for all your reasons above and more! But you have to admit watching movies at your home is good too because you can watch it in the comfort of your own home and look anyway you want! lol
Home because I have all of my favorite movies that might not be in theaters.
Home
This is a tough one cause I love love love movie theater popcorn. But I hate trying to see a movie once its just been relased cause of the long lines and croweded movie theater. I now mostly stay home and rent. I skip out on the great movie theater popcorn but don't have to listen to some fat guy behind me tell the person they are sitting with how the movie is going to end.
it would be better to watch at the theater coz the screen is wide but since waching at home would be cheaper i'd rather watch a movie at home with my family =p
